Frequently Asked Questions
Calorad
Can I take Calorad® with other supplements or if I’m on
medication? Calorad® works with virtually all other supplements. Although
Calorad® is pure and simply a protein supplement, we always recommend when in
doubt, take it to a professional health practitioner. Who
shouldn’t take Calorad? Pregnant and lactating women and prepubescent
children. Is Calorad® FDA approved? There is no
need. It is a food supplement. No synthetics, no herbs, no drugs, no stimulants;
only protein, which is a food.
How much weight will I lose? That’s hard to tell.
Many people lose inches before they ever lose a pound, their clothes fit
different or perhaps they drop a dress/pant size without noticing any changes on
the scale. Individual results may vary but approximately 50% see results in the
first month, and 86% will see results by the end of 90 days.
Can I take Calorad® forever? You can take it forever; it's essentially a
food, safe and effective. You may even choose to slow consumption and take it
only on weekdays and stop on weekends, once the desired results have been
achieved.
What's the difference between the marine and bovine
formulas? The difference lies in the source of the collagen (i.e. beef or
fish). The marine formula was created for the vegetarian and kosher market. The
main difference in the alternate collagen sources is the actual composition of
the amino acid chain (certain amino acids will be in higher or lower
proportions). Do I have to make other lifestyle changes?
There are no specific dietary restrictions/changes with Calorad®; however,
eating sensibly and being active will definitely increase your likelihood of
success, and improving the status of your overall health. Drinking the
recommended eight glasses of water daily is also important.
Are there any stimulants such as ephedra, ma huang or
caffeine (herbal or otherwise) in Calorad®? Calorad® contains absolutely
no stimulants, herbal or otherwise. How does collagen
depletion affect the body? Collagen is the protein of connective and
other tissues. Proteins are made of amino acids like glycine, proline, and
hydroxyproline. Due to stress, trauma, aging and environmental issues, our
systems are affected by collagen depletion. This causes muscles to sag, bones to
lose density, joints and ligaments to weaken with less elasticity; skin becomes
thinner and your fat/muscle ratio changes.
How can the Calorad® provide a better night’s sleep?
Calorad® provides the fuel that allows your body to achieve deep sleep. It helps
to stabilize and balance levels of blood sugar released during the night, so you
sleep better and don’t wake up ravenous in the morning. In the first 45–90
minutes of sleep, your body goes into delta sleep mode. This is the deepest form
of sleep when your body naturally repairs itself, builds muscle and breaks down
fat. During this process, your body searches for a source of energy and fuel to
fulfill this function. Calorad® acts as the fuel for this natural process.
Why don't I just eat steak for protein and amino acids? These proteins
are harder for the body to break down to extract amino acids. Some amino acids
will be compromised and even lost in digestion. Calorad® does not contain a
whole protein molecule. It is in a sense already broken down for you
(pre-digested and bio available) and, therefore, very easily assimilated by the
body.
